I thought we were inlove
I thought i had found the one
All the warnings about him fell on deaf ears
I would leave everything when he calls
I would dive deep in victoria falls
I have fallen deep inlove with him that I lost myself in the process
I lost my identity, I became obsessed
My heart, mind and soul were his possession
I gave him love and affection
In return i got anxiety and depression
He took all the love i needed from him and gave it to someone better

They say you can't force someone to love you and I'm living that testimony
I did everything I was meant to do but it was never enough to make him stay
They say set people free if you love them and let them be happy without you
And i did, I set my dove free from the cage and it flew straight to it's nest
I guess that was the end of it, i was the cage and she was the nest

Love only is never enough,
But one sided love is even worse and I am living the testimony of that also
