Why Calvin and Hobbes are the kings of the comic strip world
Calvin and Hobbes are the coolest comic strip characters ever, and I’m so grateful to have found their comic strip back in 2006. They’ve played a huge role in my childhood. Even though I never actually read them brand new in the papers, it never feels dated but always timeless.
There are so many different sides of the characters. They are so lifelike. And something Garfield and even the Peanuts gang lack, personality. At times the strip is laugh out loud funny, sad, philosophical, rebellious, witty and sarcastic, and so much more.
Beautiful and incredible artwork for the characters and nature and imagination sequences. Calvin and Hobbes’ friendship is a gem that no other comic strip has been able to fill since. Thank you Bill Watterson
