A Tale Of Two Ogres
"I'm an ogre!" He shouted loudly.
He defended his bog of a swamp home proudly.
Skin the green color of the sickliest snot.
A smell that spoke of, mildew and and it's unyielding rot.

That's the way he liked it.
The way it should be.
He never needed friends, or had ever felt lonely.
So, he lived on this way, without nary a care.
Until an annoying jackass came out of nowhere.

Life changed for good, he took on a quest,
To save a princess for a Lord that's obsessed,
With the fact he's height challenged and needed a queen.
He had wedding plans and some thoughts more obscene.

Our green, anti-hero assaulted the tower,
Even though it was guarded by some real "fire" power.
Luckily, Donkey, wooed the large beast.
And he bred with the dragon and they had some Dronkeys.

But back to our hero who "saved" the princess.
Her name was Fiona, and he called himself Shrek,
An unlikely couple would form on this journey,
And little Lord Farquaad was a lot more concerning,

For he wanted Fiona to keep for himself,
But he didn't know the secret that time would surely tell,
That she had been cursed to turn into an ogre,
And when Shrek found out, he couldn't help but behold her.

He realized his life had been left incomplete,
And he needed Fiona, as the one his heart would seek.
At the end of it all, Fiona was transformed.
And life as an ogre became her new norm.

They'd meet many others who they would call friends,
A cross-dressing wolf and a gingerbread man.
And though Shrek would find his new friends to be absurd,
He had the heart of Fiona, and he was in love with her.

Onwards together through many an adventure,
With blind mice, Puss In Boots, and an ugly step sister,
But They'd end up together when push came to shove,
A true happy ending, "Accidentally In Love...."

I just wanted to yell their story in rhyme.
