a single speck of salt and a teaspoon of spice
yet i knew the moment that i found my euphoria
that i set my eye on you, my dazzling prize.

i found myself typing paragraphs
instead of just flowing words off my mouth
my pens are wet, like falls on mud
and my papers suck them up like it's in drought.

my eyes focus on you in crowds
and lights become hearts, scattering around
i might be going insane, but what can i do
you're tugging on my red strings to the rythm of ocean blues.

my hands become busy crafting paper hearts
yarns on hooks, glues and guns
i knew it the moment i waited for your smile
the joy that i felt when you had them in your arms.

i knew it when i started making a list
of your likes and dislikes, your nicknames and wish
important dates, favorite snacks, different pet peeves
why do you like the smell of butterfly kisses?

i usually use idols as my wallpaper
or people that make my heart flutter
i knew it the moment i looked at your photo
and thought, "she'd be my morning sun, my apollo."

i was never comfortable directly looking into eyes
their gazes feel like thorns prickling my skin
yet i can't help but stare into yours
tell me, my artemis, are behind those orbs such interesting lores?

my earth, my sky, my eclipse
my grasslands and hills, serenades, my seas
your touch feels comforting like the autumn sun
tell me, why does being in your presence so much fun?
