I twaddled on my notebook uncannily
as the sultry heat of summer
bursting in through the window
made everyone insane.

The lecture seemed boring
waiting and waiting like forever
when can we escape to the library
to sit in the air conditioned room

The ostentatious boys in the class
attempting all kinds of tricks
to charge us languid students
ravenous for a stick of ice cream

poised teachers give no punishment
instead they prefer to vilify these guys
so as to embarrass them
inbetween the lectures

Everyone done with the lecture
and here comes the bell
ringing like a knell
as if we are done with our lifes

Oh! The summer times!
The scorching heat of summer
burning the window frame
as I scribble throughout ideally.

vilify- to belittle through speech
knell- to ring a bell slowly especially for a funeral
