IT'S MY BIRTHDAY
The day began overflowing with excitement
The day I was waiting for finally dawned
Matters not if I'm two scores eight
My birthday always made me feel like a kid again
I couldn't wait to scroll my phone
Messages flooded in a series of pings
Some as poems , some images wile some in gifs
Each adoringly beautiful and heart felt
Out of the blue came a banquet of orchids & a cake
It was my favourite flavour of chocolate
Followed by a parcel with new headphones and cool bracelet
My smile grew into a grin big
This day couldn't get any better I thought
But I was so so happy to be proven wrong
There was a party awaiting my presence.
With balloons and festoons, and treats in plenty
With candles lit aplenty on a huge cake dianty
All my friends and family surrounding me
With hype music dancing and laughter ringing
My birthday this year was the bestest yet to be ....!!!
