A BROKEN STAR
In a world of masks and masquerade,
I'm a broken star, dim and frayed,
Trapped within this labyrinth of lies,
I search for truth beneath the skies,
Each day, I paint on a smile so bright,
Hiding the fractures, concealing the plight,
But beneath the surface,I'm fractured and scarred,
A broken star in this world so marred,
I long to shine with unbridled grace,
To illuminate the darkness, to find my place,
Yet doubts and fears cloud my mind,
Leaving my spirit restless, confined,
In this untrue world, where illusions reign,
I struggle to break free from the pain,
But like the star that once burned so bright,
I'll find my strength in the depths of night,
For even broken, I still hold a spark,
A glimmer of hope in the endless dark ,
And though the world may try to tear me apart,
I'll rise from the ashes, a resilient heart,
So let me embrace my flaws and scars,
For they make me who I am, beyond the stars,
In this untrue world, I'll shine my light,
A broken star reclaiming its might.
