Outside earth
When I was younger I
made myself a saint
Went to heaven half-clothed
Was offered a dame for the night.

Oh do you mind my bad English.
Oh do you mind my skinny waist.
Oh do you mind...my Lord.

Beside heaven's tail there is a
ladder bent sideways east to west
& the clouds beckon for a ride.
Me, Lord, Me.

I stand trembling on the cliff of good fortune
Ready for a pink touch of sky. Here, if I fall, the winds will catch me, I know yet it makes no difference.

Now when I choose to be heavenly once more, my dame chooses earth.
My Lord, may I fall?
My Lord, let me fall.
My Lord, I will fall.

And down she goes like a drop of rain.
I never knew I could miss a thing so deeply.
