the ugliness of the world is prominate
but dont be easily decieved
theres an abundance of beauty thats not easily recieved
theres beauty in darkness and beauty in pain
theres beauty sadness, and beauty in rain
theres beauty in storms, and beauty in mortality
theres more than just the obvious beauty in reality
theres beauty in heartbreak, and beauty in tears
theres beauty in failure and in facing fears
just as I am a seeker of truth, so i am of beauty
its my choice to behold eyes to see it and so is it my duty
by means of overwhelming me with ugliness and hate
this world i live in uses this as a tactic, hoping ill suffocate
but one thing i take pride in is my ability to adapt
to overcome there advances im quite adequately apted
like an alchemists' ultimate achievement; to turn metal into gold
I transmute the ugliness with these eyes that i behold
