I keep hoping for better, when will I ever learn?,
That people like me don't deserve the things they yearn,
I try breathing today, get some new perspectives in my lungs,
All I taste was disappointment of all the things I left undone,
Dreams are just that, faded to nothing upon the winds of change,
Plans mean nothing to life that keeps you in a stagnant cage,
Apart of me is angry, what did I not do to deserve this?,
What crime have I committed to be hit and then dismissed?,
I am tired of this cycle of depression that won't let me be,
That holds me down when I try to reach out to free,
The unfairness of it all, is a putrid stench to accept,
Here I am struggling yet here I am with life's rejects,
I am tired, I am done, with a heart frozen beyond winter,
I can't help but feeling defeated and a little bitter.
