Ground zero
My feet were buried beneath the soil,
My soul, lying beneath my feet,
As I still lie on the floor of captivity.
Suffering the worst of internal inferiority.
I cry abundantly as my tears is used to mob the street.
I kneel down to regret the moments I used to toil.
Building upon my speech, I stummer.
Building upon my faith, I fear.
Building upon my courage, I cry,
Only to meet my life, lying in the summer.
Gathering confidence, discouragement make them tear.
I just look up to them and twist my life like the die.
"From hero to zero", I term my life.
The to and fro of the wind determines my destiny.
As I strife to maintain my hidden dignity.
I must say, life is unfair.
But it takes courage to stand it all.
Yet, I know, from ground zero, I will be a hero once again some day.
