English Translation
Oyo- a town, I love wholeheartedly
I shall uplift it with all my strength
Others may have close resemblance to OYO
But, OYO will remain unique in all actions
I shall utilize my hand, with my knowledge
My wisdom with my thoughts
To lift the glory of my ancestral hometown
Oyo- the place of wealth
Oyo- the place of the Kings
The town of the wise, and of the sage
A town recognized specially by God
A town wholesomely loved by God
Oyo youths! Let's stand strong
Oyo elders, it's time to act
We are blessed with fertile land
Both at home and abroad,
Oyo Indigenes are hardworking
Hardwork remains our pride
We rely solemly on the gains from our sweat
Amongst kingship, OYO is first
Alaafin remains number one
Oyo is pleasant and organized as well
The Ace horse shall never lag behind
We shall keep moving forward
Forward ever
Forward ever
Oyo will never lag behind
We shall keep moving forward!
