Silence

The days too eventually fell silent,
No sounds, not even by the crows,
All you could hear was the sound of,
Fear knocking on the doors,
In the hush of the night, where shadows creep,
And the world's put to rest, in slumber deep,
Echoes of silence, in the darkness, seep,
As fear's chilling fingers, around hearts, creep.

With each passing moment, the dread does grow,
In the quietest corners, its presence does show,
No longer can one evade, no longer can one forego,
The relentless advance of fear's ominous flow.

Yet amidst the stillness, there's a glimmer of light,
A hope that shines through, dispelling the fright,
It whispers of courage, in the darkest of night,
And urges one forward, to continue the fight.

For though fear may knock, on doors of the soul,
It's within our power, to remain in control,
To rise above doubts, to achieve our goal,
And in the face of adversity, to remain whole.
