मगन हैं सब सुंदर मनोहारी से मुख
तकने में,
सुंदर सौम्य हृदय टटोलता
कौन है,
कृत्रिम आवरण करे आकर्षित
प्रत्येक
हृदय को,
निर्मल अंतर्मन के भीतर झांकता
कौन है,
केवल देह और वक्ष पर गड़े हैं
सबके
चंचल चक्षु,
आत्मिक संबंध-मिलन की बातें
जानता कौन है,
इंद्रियों के रस में सब भद्रजन
डूबे आकंठ
,
संस्कार, सद्गुण, तेज, ओज—
आंकता कौन है,
सत्य तो यह है कि निर्लज्जता समक्ष
सब
कुछ गौण है,
कहना चाहती तुच्छ सी बुद्धि
बहुत कुछ किंतु,
मेरी चकित- स्तब्ध लेखनी जाने
क्यों
मौन है!

Everyone is engrossed in gazing at the beautiful, charming faces,
Who dares to prob the beautiful and
gentle heart,
The artificial masks attract every heart but
who peeps into the purest inner part,
All lustful eyes are fixed on the body, curves and prominent parts,
No one knows the spiritual relations
and union at all,
All the gentlemen are immersed in the pleasures of the senses,
Who looks at the culture, virtues, aura—
tell me Pal,
The truth is that everything is secondary in this materialistic world,
My trifle mind wishes to narrate a lot to
give itself a vent,
But, I wonder why my pen is stunned
and silent!
