“Pretentious”
Pretentious.
That word is too much.
A label that denotes such negativity,
‘cause I speak too much.
I feel too much.
I'm too sensitive.
Too wordy.
I say things in such a way,
that others feel,
comes off condescending.
And maybe I am,
pretentious..
Always over explaining
the thoughts in my head.
Too proper.
Too much.
But the pretense
that I am too intense
to make sense
is only true
to those who feel
that I am too much.
A handful,
unable to fit into the understanding
that I just want to fit in,
but that's unfortunately,
not my nature.
And I have to live with that.
