I'm afraid...
I'm afraid of the dark
Of the fact that I'll hustle and struggle and not leave a mark
I'm afraid of pain, of bruises and scars, disgrace and afraid of streaks of bloodstain
I'm afraid of changing my name

Afraid of making mistakes
Doesn't matter which step I take, this height doesn't seem like something easy for me to make.

I'm afraid of falling in love
To be told I'm not good enough
Tripping everytime, causing the critics to laugh
I'm afraid of flying down south

I'm afraid of crowds, loud noises, cheers, applauds... that may not be mine
I'm afraid of saying I'm fine
Afraid of crossing the thin line before realizing my life's half past nine

I'm afraid of being a loner
To be called a goner or labelled a sucker
I'm afraid of my past... Holding me down like an anchor
Afraid I'll sin or even break the law
I am afraid of these chains of thoughts of fear that wouldn't let go
In fact, I'm afraid of being afraid!

Yet!
Though it may seem not to go away
My fears and burdens before your feet I lay
You have assured me that I do not have the spirit of fear
Therefore, even though I walk through the valley of the shadows of death
I WILL NOT BE AFRAID
Because you, are with me and your rod and staff, they will comfort me.
No longer no longer, want to be afraid.
