I woke up this morning with tears in my eyes
A feeling of emptiness, a love that's disguised
She left me on this day, September's cruel game
I'm lost and alone, drowning in the pain

I hold onto the flowers she left behind
A memory of love that was once so kind
But now I'm left here in the pouring rain
Trying to make sense of this heartache and pain

I can't question God, I know it's His plan
But it's hard to understand, hard to withstand
The loneliness that grips me, the ache in my chest
I thought our love was eternal, I thought it was the best

But she's gone now, and I'm left here to cope
With the shattered pieces of a broken hope
I pray for strength, for healing, for peace
To find a way to let go and release

I'll take two steps forward, I'll carry on
I'll live each day, though my heart feels so torn
I'll cherish the memories, the love that we shared
And hope that one day, my heart will be repaired

So I'll face this sad day, with courage and grace
And trust that someday, I'll find my place
In a world without her, in a life that's new
But for now, I'll hold onto the love we once knew.
