I've been through Hell and back,
I can show you scars;
Vouchers from my trip
That most would disregard.
Walls were closing in,
But I wrote all over them.
The horror stories they could tell
Of living my own personal Hell.
There was a hole left inside of me
After gouging out my soul.
Only my demons kept me company
As everything else took its toll.
Devil may care,
But you didn't even dare
To help me when I was down.
You just burned me to the ground.
Things went from bad to worse,
Having one of those days.
Making the rest seem as a curse,
Bringing another second that slays.
Holding onto all this pain,
Walking tall against the grain.
Carrying all the burdens I endure,
All I know is I don't want to anymore.
It's do or die
And I'm not done
Only the strong survive
And I'll keep moving on.
