Sensibility under the pressure of reason
I picked up my phone several times
and started texting you
but I never sent it.
I always deleted it instead
and thus banished destruction,
which I could commit
I will confess my love
from which I would finally write my heart out.
I’ve been suppressing the urge for so long
write you a poetic confession,
but fear always paralyzes me
and reason will prevent my heart
from feeling.
I put myself in a cage
from which I don’t even want to
climb out.
I’m not afraid of rejection
I fear your alienation.
