POOR SOULS
POOR SOULS

poor heart -broken souls,
Clad in long suffering tears,
That snake their way down their furrowed cheeks,
Like morning dew that succumbs to the punitive rays of the sun
Birthing drought and poverty.

Poor souls of insatiably ravenous hunger,
Scavenging for miserly morsels to whett their bellies
Under brigdes they coil at the mercy of the biting chill,
Tenaciously holding to a distant hope
Waiting for the
the long dark night
to thaw away.

The melancholic tune of poverty
still rings in their veins amplified
By stress .poor souls search for
autonomy in the darkness and
impoverishment yet their resolve remain unbreakable.o

Although they are dumped and forgottened but, hope is the last
candle lighting the channel of life
and the sun shall rise again to the poor souls who lived a painful life.
