Empty Gaze
The dark classrooms
looked so abandoned.
As the situation made us
opt for online classes.
It's been empty since then.
Waiting for someone to open the windows again,
for the fresh sunlights to gush in.
So gloomy, as if calling for you,
no laughter, no games ,no studies;
they look at you for a bit of activity.
They want to revive again;
but have to wait for the next session,
when the children will gush in,
so as to be lively again.
The walls of these classrooms
are full of stories,
sad ones and happy ones.
Several years of experience;
they are so close to the children,
as if a part of their life forever.
The dark innocent gaze
reminded me of my past
made me tearful and sad.
As it told me I am no more a student;
no more will be able to revive them.
Our ties are broken now,
as I silently walked passed
with an empy heart;
I knew I will only have them
in my past life forever.
As a beautiful pastel of colourfull times
So beautiful and vibrant.
But I won't be sad though;
life goes on like this
a phase ends and another begines.
Old or new school
it taught me and built me.
Now as the challenges lie ahead,
a poem on school will accompany me
and help me relax.
Sneak from my regular routine hensefore,
for those wonderful schoolhood memories;
a bright and sunny past
remains spry forever.
