IT SUCKS

The more you think, the more you realize how dreadful life can be,
Intelligence can bring awareness and that's its own misery,
What were our parents thinking when they said we could be whatever?,
Then they send us to schools to feed the illusion much better,
And because we want the best, we followed all the rules,
So we can conquer life!, how naive, we were such fools!,
Then here comes society with its pressures and expectations,
Woe be to you, if you didn't follow the steps of traditions,
Then the disappointment sets in because everyone is passing you by,
And for some reason you're stuck while everyone lives their life's,
And I'm sorry, now you're left to stumble with these sad thoughts,
Which feeds the depression within that now bleeds towards the heart,
Then you have people that say work harder and you'll be able to succeed,
They forget there's a thing call luck and the resources that you need,
So much potential lost in the maze of circumstances beyond our control,
Most don't understand this as it worked for them, but life has different roads,
Hurts to be realistic, you get the good but you understand more the bad, it's tough,
And sometimes no matter how you try in this life, sadly, it's never enough.
