Write a poem about truth and if the truth that has been told to us can be trusted.
If the truth of life has been told,
Can we really trust what we have been told?
We have heard it over and over,
But if it is truth, can we uncover?
It has been a long ride down this path,
Many times has the truth been stepped on,
Sometimes we make a compromise,
Fearing that truth has no defence.
The truth isn’t always easy to accept,
Or maybe the truth isn't worth believing,
Every once in a while we make mistakes,
But still the truth will remain, never changing.
Whether we trust it or not,
The truth will remain unaffected,
Evidence of the truth is all around us,
If only we'd take a step back and just trust.
