His Broken Heart

The flattery of his words
Made them weak
His charm and good looks
Made them fall to his feet
But not long after
The truth was revealed

He was the player
Of the town
Well traveled
But left his stain
Where ever he go
With no settling place

Needless to say
The countless
Broken hearts
He left behind
Where ever he go
But his day had come

He roamed so much
He had the taste of life
He lived it up
But now the tables turned
And he lost his way
He was denied the one thing
He so longed for

Of all the girls
He loved in his life
He fell deeply in love
With only one
That one who
Denied him
