What is love
A five-year-old asked?.
To which a man replied,
Oh my dear child,
Love is when I
Know that you
Love a Barbie doll house,
Or, you wished for a pink
Floral dress.
Love is the smile
That I see when you
dance and twirl in
Your favorite dress.

Oh, my dear child,
Love is when
You play with me,
You decked me,
paint my nails
Comb my hair,
While I sit there and
watch you smile.

Oh, my dear child,
I blink my eyes
Yesterday you were
In my lap but now,
You've outgrown them.
How fast the time flies.

Oh, my dear child,
You thought that
A scrapped knee
Would hurt more,
But, oh my dear child,
Your shattered dreams
Would make you cry
Every single night

I am here to guide
The way to the light,
Oh my dear child
In this bewilder world
If you have lost your
Way, don't worry
There would be this
Shadow that would
Always be by your side.

And oh my dear child
In my embrace you hide,
I owe to protect you
With all my life.

In your eyes
I see hope & dreams
And if you look in
mine, you will know
That they were all
About you.

Oh, my dear child,
For the world I
May be a person,
But for you, I
Will always be
Your superman.
