Born to the depths of darkness' dungeon,
Fresh heated coals upon the floor,
But a starlight dim says, "Please hang on."
Each step seared anew upon my heels to reach the door,
Again I heard, "I know it hurts. I've endured too."
Pain dulled and strength renewed,
Tears reduced to early morning dew,
Key hole light to you I must reach and this I do,
Before reaching the door,
I fell many times to burning coals on the floor,
Blackened ash skin and burned to bone,
Peering in the keyhole; I saw Him up on His throne,
I painfully rap my raw knuckles upon the door,
