What am I really
Am I a friend
Or are people just friendly
Or is it just pretend
Do I really exist
Am I just a thought
Is there a list
Or am I just another part
Of their story, like a lesson
To teach the right or the wrong
But why am I part of this "lesson"
Is it because of what I know
Or because of what I say
I speak words that help grow
So you can run along and play
I speak words of love
Words that have never been spoke
So I wonder
Am I wanted... or
Am I needed.
