Three years of ups and downs
Twist and turns
While learning more and more about myself
And understanding who I am with my trauma
Instead of letting it destroy me
I’ve figured out how to live with it
Hand in hand, side by side
I’ve achieved so much in my 24 years of life
I graduated from school and college
Decided to chase my dream and write a book
But my proudest is graduating therapy
It was the hardest lessons to learn
And put into work
There were late nights with me and a bottle
With no end in sight for a while
Now I see a light I’ve only dreamed of
I know there will be dark day
But it’s how I get through them that matter
Life isn’t an easy journey
And you never truly graduate
But this chapter of my journey has come to a close
Now it’s time to celebrate and be ready for a new
