When the clock struck 12
We were independent

Legends sacrificed their lives
For this day to arrive

But we were left with poverty and hunger
Life was totally miserable

The world laughed at us
Saying we won't be able to survive

But with revolutions like white and green
Not just the countrymen but the whole world was fed by us

Still the world looked down upon us
Said we won't be able to compete in the world of innovation

Certainly unaware of fact that
ayurveda, surgery buttons, shampoo, chess, numbers and many more inventions were made in land of India

When we aimed for the red planet
The world mocked us for being too ambitious

But in our first attempt itself
We achieved success

When pandemic hit the world
We provided vaccine to everyone

We were always proud of ourselves
But today even world looks at us with immense pride and respect.
