This Morning
This morning I arose before the dawn,
I looked around not worth a loan;
But as the sky lit up in blue,
It was then I thought of you.
A sudden chill ran 'cross my skin,
A feeling between me and him;
Though far away, since thou are gone,
It still felt like we weren't alone.
Memories come flooding back each day,
In the still of the night 'tween us the same way;
No matter our distance, or even the season,
My heart's with you in each waking reason.
