Playing games
You said you loved me, but actions spoke otherwise,
No calls, no texts, just a missed call with no remorse.
You claimed to feel the same, but trust issues prevailed,
Old habits that never left your space, a toxic trail.

I was blind to your mistakes, but now I see,
You didn't mean what you said, just empty promises to me.
You didn't know what love meant, or feeling the same,
Just a game to you, but I was the one to blame.

You established a conclusion, pridefully and loud,
But I was the fool, blind to your lies, for months, no doubt.
You seemed cool, but I was the one who was played,
A pawn in your strategy, until I finally swayed.

I'm accused of being insecure, but your actions were unasked,
Empty promises and ghosting, a pattern that was tasked.
I chose a path to peace, but you saw it as a threat,
A temporary case, but I was the one who was beat.

You liked playing games, but I won't be played again,
My love and respect are worth more than a coin or a gain.
I let you win, but only with a lesson learned,
Your conclusion may be loud, but mine is finally burned.
