Crawling In My Skin
Crawling in my skin, a sensation I can’t hide,
a feeling that won’t subside, it’s deep inside.
Don’t know where it began, this feeling so surreal, a haunting presence that’s become all too real...
It creeps and crawls beneath my flesh,
a chill that I can feel,
a shiver down my spine, an unease not
ideal...
I search for answers, try to shake this feeling in my bones but still it persists, and I’m left all alone.
It’s like a nightmare that won’t fade away,
a creeping terror that follows me each day.
I try to find a source, a reason for this pain,
but all I find is darkness, an endless, haunting reign.
So I close my eyes, and I take a deep breath,
and try to find the courage to face this test.
For though this feeling can be attested to,
I know it’s not my own,
and I’ll find a way to break free, to
shake this fear so
I can finally,
gratefully
