Even without you
Even without you, the world still spins,
The sun still rises, and the day begins.
The birds still sing, and the flowers still bloom,
But I'm not as happy as I was with you in the room.
I miss the way you laughed and made me smile,
I miss the way you held me close for a while.
Without you, the world seems a little dim,
And my heart feels heavy, as if weighed down by lead and tin.
But even without you, I know I'll be okay,
I'll find my way and make it through each day.
It may not be easy, and it may take time,
But I'll learn to live again and find a new rhyme.
So even though I'm not as happy as I was with you,
I'll keep moving forward and find something new.
And when I think of you, I'll smile and say,
"I may not have you, but I'll be okay."
