The clouds of despair and desperation
rise high,
No comforting hand to soothe
my soul shy,
A burning world that leaves me
lost and hurt,
No shelter, no refuge from the trials
covert,

In a world ablaze with
anxiety and strife,
Where restlessness and stress
consume my life,
I find no shoulder to cry or
lean on,
No ray of hope, not a pinch of
mercy visible or shown,

But right then, My Lord, Your touch
I feel,
Your loving embrace and the gentle
heal,
In Your lap, I find my solace and
respite supreme,
My heart and soul receive blessings
