Faint Flames
They say love is like a fire,
Embers of passion,
Burn brightly and vigorously,
Setting hearts ablaze,
But that wasn't the case,
Between us,
The flame burns faintly,
Yet, it's comforting.
The fire burns, but softly,
Some may say it isn't enough,
To last you through the nights,
But for me, It is home.
The faint flames,
Carry me through the cold nights,
The flames may not burn bright,
But they warm this home of mine
