The One For Me
Billions of people upon this sphere
Walking and talking, meddling in pleasantry
But how will I find the one for me?
I’ve met cities of men handfuls I revere
I’ve met towns of women menageries of hair
None of them I’ve found to be the one for me
Perhaps I’ve been jaded set in complacency
But still I feel empty seeking my soul’s pair

Then a day came and there by the wall I sat
And there she was rugs tattered underfoot
Smitten by her beauty my heart split in two
There came a friend pressing me with a pat
Then there we were souls dancing barefoot
My friend, I hope you find the one for you
