As a child, I failed at everything,
never tried again, and this broken heart,
seems as though, it will not mend. Yet,
at times, I almost see, a different reality.
One where I try with all my might,
One that leaves me questioning why
I gave up the fight, and how to heal within, that which was not my sin, broken
by kin. Be a friend, help me understand...
Though, life may be full of heartache,
we have to get up again. Be our own akin,
do the work to heal within, inner child
mend, generational curses rescind,
take a stand, teach our children
we can transcend, remove ourselves
from the ashes of familial sin, but I
do not understand, please tell me,
How can we; If We allow self, to lose
the fight within, refusing to try again...
