I woke up today, feeling quite down. I do this often, wearing a face that frowns. Although this time felt different, and I heard a voice in the background.

He said unto me, 'Why must you take,
when you have so much to give? I know that you struggle, to get out of bed.
Can you not hear, I'm the voice inside your head.

I try so hard to reach you.
When it seems I am close enough,
The devil finds a way through.
I know you have witnessed everything I can do. Although you're pretty stubborn, too.

You are not alone, even when you feel lonely.
You're sad because others have given up on you, so let them be. I will never turn my back, you will always have me'

When you run so long growing tired, and Ill. I will be standing by your side still. Ask me to walk beside you, I will.

I fell to my knees, and began to pray.
I gave thanks to my father, for another living day. I asked for forgiveness
of my sins and mistakes.

I realized, standing by God, i had hope.
I felt, solace within him alone. I didnt have to use alcohol or dope, he is all I've ever needed to cope.
