Yet You Still Wish
Dark groynes dart into the sea
Contrasting gray waters to thee–
An empty gray-blue silence hears
The faint dropping of your tears
Such a beautiful view
And yet you still wish you knew
The secret of the fog that blends
Gray sea to the heavens

And there by the sea on the white shore
Where the dunes stand before
Whistling wind through the dune weeds
The screams of the lost deeds
Deeds from history of bloody beaches
A war with missile screaches
Memories lost with time that turned
Sand dunes to gold from burned

Here you sit on the rocky sides
Not on soft sand that where else resides
Thinking about the wicked pasts
Forgetting about the present that lasts
Only about a fraction in time
Something strange but also sublime:
A memory, a picture of fog
Being washed away by one tear drop
