Glass heart
Take me apart.
You can eat my tongue
but savor my heart.
It is as fragile as glass
but will leave you bleeding last.

Hold me still, rock me to sleep.
Sometimes all I do is weep.
I may be a man but I can be weak.
My forefathers promised me strength.
But you make me, oh, so weak.

Shaking knees.
A rupturing ateriole chamber.
You hurt me baby, almost everyday.
Yet I stay.

The mirror screams in my face.
Sometimes, my bed will not let me go.
It tells me I'd be better off alone than with you.
I know that you are not cruel.

You are the mist angel.
Your words are vague.
Your holy beauty untamed.
Words as piercing as holy light.

How could I leave my only divine?
I pray for us every night.
God has yet to answer my prayers.
I look up at you from downstairs.
