Pale Blue Dot
On 14th Feb 1990, when people were celebrating love all over the world, Voyager-1 was all alone away from everyone and was heading out for an endless and lonely journey. Before going out for an interstellar journey, Voyager-1 turned back one last time to look at Earth and captured the greatest space picture of all time.
Look at the pale blue dot, that's is our Earth from 6 billion Km away. This tiny dot is where we live. Innumerable things have occurred on this tiny dot from Ice Age to Stone Age to Civilizations to Industrial Revolution, many great things have occurred, many great personalities have been born and today we are here.
Let me tell you something interesting. The chances of there being a planet like Earth is 1 in 700 billion with perfect habitable conditions. And the chances of us Humans existing is 1 in 400 trillion. When you put up these massive numbers on board, we should remind ourselves of how valuable we are.
We are becoming increasingly advanced everyday and everyday we are developing something new and advaced. Everything, every solution we get from technologies instantly. But still there are many people who are today depressed and cry out for help. They do not want technologies but humans to help them. But where do we get time in a life like marathon where we compete to beat others??It's true we cannot help every person suffering from depression or loneliness but we can create a better healthier environment for them. Nowadays we fight on little stuffs and pull a big mess out of it. And due to this, there's chaos and there's a lot of negativity around. We seemingly lose our value due to this chaos. And things like this don't help anyone even if they are depressed or not.
Our earth is like one of the thousands little light bugs that like up the night sky. Instead of fighting unnecessarily we should try to be compassionate towards most of the people if not all, organize fun activities, send memes and spread happiness so that the loneliest man made structure of the universe if ever, thinks that life in the pale blue dot is indeed a no match to life existing in different universe.
