About a year ago, my childhood best friend announced that he was getting married at a hotel in Vermont. He paid for the whole bridal parties rooms as their thank you for us taking the time to spend their special day with them.
Unfortunately about a month before the trip, my fiance decided she didn't want to be with me anymore, so this trip was going to be a miserable one, especially since my friend, Steve had gone through the expense of choosing luxury suites for the entire bridal party.
Now only a few days away, canceling was not an option, I had to go by myself. I was looking forward to the event but the lonesome stay in the hotel, I was not. As I went to the hotel, dreading that my room was going to be fabulous and I had no one to share it with, I arrived with smiles for Steve and his bride, Heather. I did the pleasantries and Steve told me that he appreciated me coming and that we were going to have drinks in the hotel bar around 6, and we would go to the rehearsal and dinner afterwards.
"Sounds like a plan, I'm going to get situated in my room first, I'll see you at 6," I said as I headed off to the check in counter.
The lovely lady behind the counter handed me my key and wished me a very pleasant stay, I thanked her and headed to the 4th floor room number 41.
The room was beautiful with a view over lake Champlain, a small balcony with a chair and a small table was a pleasant surprise as was the whole entire suite, complete with couch and love seat, huge bathroom with hot tub, and every area had a beautiful view of the water. I will say the breath-taking view would have been amazing to wake up next to someone and see. I started to get a little sad as I had no one to share this with, but I had to put on a smile for my friend, after all it was his happinesss that brought me here.
I unpacked my bag and got ready for drinks down at the hotel bar. As I was going down into the elevator, a beautiful woman joined me on the way down, she smelled amazing and she was dressed in a black dress that was chiseled only for her, it hugged every curve. She smiled as she stepped on the elevator and said, "lobby please," I pushed the button for her and she politely said "Thank you sweetie!" I smiled and we rode down in silence.
I stood next to her and her smell was incredible, she was amazing. I figured she was going out and I had obligations to fill. I hoped that I would see her again soon. The elevator dinged as she got off and headed in the same direction as I was going. I followed her right up to Steve and Heather, as she kissed Heather on her cheek and hugged the couple. As she walked away I said hello to Steve and his soon to be wife.
"Who is that?" I said quietly to Steve.
Steve said with a smile, "I know, that is Erin, she is one of Heather's bridesmaids, she's here by herself, because she just broke up with her boyfriend a couple of months ago."
She sat down at the bar and I sat at a table a short distance away from her. I was mesmerized by her, she was gorgeous, beautiful wavy blonde hair, gentle features of her face, dressed to make men drool over her. She was magnificent, intoxicating, but I'm sure she didn't want me hitting on her the entire weekend, so I kept to myself.
Apparently I was not being too suddle about my attraction, because she caught me on several occasions looking at her.
She walked over to my table to confront me about my lingering glances. "Why don't you take a...
