Tales from my mom (2) The narrow escape.
" Somewhere in Luweero village, where I was currently staying, you were about six months when something unusual happened.
The day was calm and shinny, glittering with all beauty we lived in a two roomed house, besides it was a grass thatched kitchen where I spent most of my time. I used to stay there with you preparing food for the family before going into the house, actually it was big enough to accommodate us for lunch.
The kitchen was built besides a huge tree , the tree had been there for years.

One day as we were in the kitchen as we often did, I had a sound of tree branches fall, the force was like for the earthquake, the whole kitchen shook and I heard people screaming outside, as if something bad had happened. They thought I had died with my kids...
On moving outside it was the huge ancient tree that had been uprooted and fell in front of the kitchen.
I knew what was behind this, I would have died with my children if the tree hit the kitchen, but there was a force that pushed it to fall further.
I had a witch neighbor, everyone knew her in the village, one day I had forgotten a spoon in the kitchen, it was around 9 pm when we are about to have supper. When I got out to go to the kitchen, I was surprised to see Godsee my neighbors at the door of our kitchen, it seems she and her husband were scattering some herbs moving from the tree to the kitchen, they did it several times. I had stayed back watching this. And I cancelled my mission to pick up the spoon from the kitchen, but they didn't see me.
I went back in the house and prayed covering my family with the blood of Christ. The scene of the tree falling happened after three days, when my neighbors were done with the plot.
I know there were supernatural powers that saved us that day "

I have learned that those who smile at us don't really mean it, some have bad intentions. My mother had good relations with her neighbors and she never expected them to harm her and her family.
Woe unto him that trusts in man .
