Why I started drawing zentangles
Have you ever heard of art therapy? It's a pretty cool concept where you use art as a form of therapy to help you express your emotions and feelings. And one specific type of art therapy that's been growing in popularity lately is Zentangle drawing. The one in my story is one of my latest designs and I post a new one every day on my YouTube channel. It is now part of my well-being routine and I love it 🙂

So, what is Zentangle drawing? It's a combination of meditation and drawing that creates beautiful and intricate designs. The process is easy, so don't worry if you're not a pro artist. All you need is a pen and paper and you're good to go. The point of Zentangle is to focus on creating repetitive patterns using simple lines and shapes. This focus helps you quiet your mind and forget about any negative thoughts or worries you might have.

Zentangle drawing is often used in art therapy to help people work through different emotional and psychological issues. By letting your mind focus on creating the designs, you're able to express your emotions in a non-verbal way and gain a better understanding of yourself and your feelings. This type of therapy can be especially helpful for people dealing with depression, anxiety, or trauma.

Think of it as a form of self-discovery. The repetitive nature of the drawings helps you focus on the present moment and let go of any distractions. This can help you uncover new parts of yourself and your creativity. And who knows, you might even find that you're pretty good at it!

So, if you're feeling overwhelmed or stressed, give Zentangle a try. It's a fun and unique way to improve your mental health and well-being. All you need is a pen and paper, so what are you waiting for? Start drawing and see where it takes you!
