Episode 2

H. SYDWELL MTHOMBENI

The wind was blowing so heavily when Joe, Thandi and his mom Emily entered their newly painted dining room with the pale color of their courchs. Emily loved old blues music, especially that of B. B King. But because of the occasion, she had to turn her music off to listen to Joe and Thandi who were so frustrated at each other.

They all set and Thandi's eyes were full of wrath. She gazed at Joe's face as if she could just swallow him, her lips were shaking and tears flowing down her chicks.



Joe

With a calm voice

"Mom, I have truth to confess, before you and Thandi... I.. "



Thandi

With an angry loud voice

" are you kidding me, so your mom does not even know all your stupid deeds? " you are just a cowered...what is going on with you?"

Joe's mom was holding her breath to hear the confession to be made.



Joe

Deliberately ignoring Thandi's question. He looked his mom on the eye and he said

"Mom I have made up my mind. I am in love with Marry Stain. I have been saving to pay lobola at the end of this year. I have been dating Thandi but... "

Thandi

interrupted breathing high

".... But what? You fooled me all these years and now you want to marry...."



There was a Knock on the door, they had to stop talking for a moment. Joe quickly went to open the door. It was Marry Stain with some lovely roses she bought for Joe.
