Sadness!
It is not true that if we had true faith we would not be sad. Prophets (may Allah’s peace be upon them all), and righteous people experienced a great deal of sadness.

The Quran is full of stories in which the central theme is sadness. Sadness is a reality of life. The Quran is not there to eliminate sadness, but to navigate it. Sadness is one of the tests of life, just as happiness, and anger are tests.”22 Every single success you experience is a combination of two things: your effort and Allah’s help. When you do not put in enough effort, Allah does not give His baraka (blessing). And sometimes you might put in a lot of effort, but you may not see the result you expected. That, also, is Allah’s baraka.
When calamity hits, we start feeling like Allah owes us something. Allah owes us nothing. We owe Allah everything. So what if this life isn’t perfect? It is not Jannah.
May Allah not allow our hearts to become hardened, may Allah ﷻmake us a people sincerely of remembrance to Allah, may Allah grant us the gift of better company than ourselves that keeps our egos in check. May Allah give us the ability to give advice to those around us. The people of lā ilāha illallāh are more beloved to us, are closer to us than even the bond of blood. Lā ilāha illallāh brings us closer than the bond of blood. And may Allah ﷻmake u share that love and affection and unity with the other Muslims and show them that sincerity from the bottom of our hearts. May Allah ﷻpenetrate good advice into the heart of those who need it, may Allah ﷻmake us capable of taking advice and taking the best of it and not allowing advice to become a means by which our egos are inflated. May Allah ﷻkeep us humble before Him, forgive our shortcomings that have occurred in the past, and may He ﷻmake us of those whose hearts are perpetually being cleansed.
You know what the Quran teaches me? The Quran teaches me that an incredibly wealthy man can be a failure (Pharaoh) and a homeless man can be successful (Prophet Ibrāhīm ). It teaches me that success has nothing to do with wealth and failure has nothing to do with poverty.
