Casino Myth and Facts.
There are alot of myths and facts about casinos that I am going to share with you and these are all true.
I know these things from working at a casino,
the name doesn't matter because all casinos are the same. Casinos have spent billions of dollars in neurological science in order to be successful. All the bells and whistles and flashing lights are designed to get your endorphins going to put you in a euphoric state, that's also why there are no clocks, remember the odds are always in the houses favor.
I must start with this myth first because it was quite funny to me. Casinos are not racist we want everyone's money.
I was sitting behind the counter at my Indian casino and this little elderly black woman came up to me yelling and screaming that this casino was racist, so I thought maybe she overheard something or someone had said something to her but that was not the case infact what she was upset about, was that she had been sitting at a machine for hours and then she decided to move down a couple of machines. A white woman then set down at her machine and on her second spin had hit a jackpot, after hearing her story I couldn't help myself and I did get in trouble for this, but I told this elderly woman, I said " Mam we aren't racist and if we were I promise you this is an Indian owned casino and if we could choose who to pay out we definitely wouldn't be choosing the white man to win", she looked at me and then gave a little giggle and went on her merry way, she was still upset though, but more at herself for moving machines.
Fact: Casinos all have high win rates, it is required by the state and they do randomly check, how is this possible you ask. It's actually quite easy but it's a deceptive term.
If you bet a quarter and win a nickel that counts as a win, even though you lost more than you won, you still won.
Myth: There is no one sitting at a desk behind the cameras deciding who wins by hitting a magic button.
Fact: Max bets give you better opportunities to win progressive jackpots, however you can still win progressive jackpots with minimum bets.
Myth: Playing with a players club card does not give you a better chance of winning.
Fact: Playing with a players club card can give you a win- loss statement at the end of the year for a tax write-off.
Fact: Card table games that have machines that spit the cards out for dealers know exactly what cards it is spitting out, so adding a hand and sitting out a hand can be advantageous to the players at the table.
Fact: If you are playing cards and spend a good amount of money, don't be afraid to ask the pit bosses for a comp, you can get food and hotel rooms comped to you, but you have to ask.
