The footsteps following me sounded closer. I ran through the empty corridors of the hospital, my heart pounding with terror.
I turned a corner and stopped short. I had reached a dead end.
Though I knew it was just by my tail, the echo of its footsteps made it seem like it was nowhere near me. My head began to turn as I desperately claw at the wall, sweating profusely and almost letting out a cry.
I don't know what it is. I don't know what attracts it. I heard the spine-chilling low growl, and my eyes began to well up in tears as I realized it grew closer. It all felt like I was dreaming, but the aching in my chest mocked me and told me I was not....
