Episode 12:
Time flies fast, everyone seems to have gotten used to the fact that my memories might not return anytime soon, even with the help of the psychotherapist Uthman employed for me..... Throughout this period, Uthman was loving and caring to me. After returning from work he would take me out to those places I loved to visit before the accident. He took me to my father's company as well but to no avail......
My psychotherapist classified Amnesia into three parts: Retrograde, Anterograde and Sense-specific... She described the retrograde as the amnesia for incidents that occurred before the loss of memory. The anterograde was analyzed as the amnesia for the events after loss of memory while sense-specific is the amnesia for events processed by one sense such as hearing. She told me it's curable and possible to regain those memories.
Accidentally, my own loss of memory was categorized as Retrograde amnesia as I couldn't recall events that happened in the past before the tragedy .... My psychotherapist tried her best to make me regain those memories but whenever I make efforts to disturb my brain my head would ached and sometimes I would slump. Ummy had no choice but to be persevering and enduring till the memories return voluntarily.
A month after recovering from coma, Ummy fell sick. I decided to spend some days with her. Uthman agreed and would always come there to see me... Blood is truly thicker than water. In no time I fell in love with my mother, I realized I've missed her a lot, irrespective of not having memories of her. Ummy related incidents of my past to me. Some made me laughed and some made me wept.
