We crossed Paths again
Late autumn was the season back then.The reign of chilly winds was it.
My father along with me were attending his bosses' son's Birthday Party in Rochester in New York.There were 3 young girls of my age, who were the daughters of some of my father's co-workers. They were so full of pride and self esteem as they were all bragging about their status.The birthday was held in a two story villa. The villa was really classy for sure ! Different types of food of different nations, drinks ,wines, a hand full of servants to serve you. So yeah I was pretty enjoying myself.My father was the right hand man of his boss. So yeah all the other girls in that party were quite jealous of me. We were on the top most floor of the building.There were me, my father his boss along with some of his other co-workers and their daughters.We were seated on a huge table wrathed with a very expensive and magnificent table cloth. At the middle of the table stood a flower pot containg my most adored flowers, 'Ascocenda'. As we were sitting his boss stared at me and gave me a warm smile. To seem polite and look like a perfect lady I smiled back.
He then inquired my father, "What's your beautifull daughter's name ?"
My father gave me a warm smile which simply indicated that I should be the one to answer the question.
So I replied with a warm smile," Stella, is my name my lord ".Before his boss could reply back the majesticly crafted door opened and his son walked in .
All the other young girls couldn't handle his charm.But instead of being in their state I was astounded to see who the guy was. It was no one else but my ex, 'Ethan'.On seeing him my heart was struck with thunder bold.Chills ran down my spine , leaving me completely speecheless.
He came and took a seat.As soon as our eyes locked with each others, he got a huge shock just like me.He might have never thought I was here.
He said with a shocked, sad, shuttering voice, "S-Stella ?".His words made my eyes kind of watery..But I didn't wanna have a break down infront of everyone ! My chest became heavy and my eyes were itchy.It felt like I could cry any momment.So I lowered my head trying to ignore everyone's gaze.
His father then inquired,"So you both know each othet?". Ethan replied with guilt in his eyes "Why, yes father!".
It was so awkward but I stayed strong trying to ignore his pity.But deep inside I knew he was guilty and sad.
Soon he took the glass full of wine ,
raised it high and said,"A toast gentlemen !" .And everyone wished him best regards for his birthday.His father asked him about what be wanted for his birthday. On hearing it he turned his head towards me and said with a commanding voice,"Stella is what I want for my birthday !"
